Dr. Mimi Neathery is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) with more than 15 years of experience in clinical practice, training, and organizational leadership. She earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2007 and joined Midwest Counseling & Diagnostics in 2014. She is a managing partner and currently serves as the organization’s Chief Clinical Officer.

In her leadership role, Dr. Neathery is a core member of the leadership team, guiding the strategic direction and growth of a multi-state group practice with locations in Chicago and Northbrook, IL as well as Washington State and Ohio. She shapes and implements the organization’s clinical vision and ensures that all practices align with its mission and core values. Dr. Neathery provides ongoing supervision and clinical consultation to licensed therapists, and she coordinates and facilitates regular trainings and seminars to support continuous professional development.

She plays an active role in the recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of new clinical staff, helping to cultivate a strong and cohesive clinical team. In addition, she oversees performance management and clinician development across locations, working to maintain high standards of care and support. A committed advocate for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), she works to foster an organizational culture that is inclusive, supportive, and attuned to the needs of both staff and clients. Her leadership focuses on strengthening clinician engagement, communication, and morale throughout the organization.

Alongside her administrative work, Dr. Neathery maintains a specialized clinical practice. She provides trauma-informed psychotherapy for adults, with expertise in mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and recovery from complex trauma. Her direct clinical experience continues to inform her leadership approach, grounding organizational decisions in a deep understanding of client needs and the therapeutic process.
