Domenico Carli, LCPC
Biography: Domenico has two decades of clinical experience treating adolescents, families, and adults who have experienced childhood maltreatment, attachment issues, and sexual abuse.
Clinical Training: Domenico has been extensively trained in a variety of evidence based, trauma informed, skill building clinical treatments including Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Trauma Affect Regulation Guide for Education and Therapy (TARGET) as well as Interpersonal Process, Family Systems, EMDR and Solution Focused Brief therapies.
Domenico also works at Northwestern University full time for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences developing and implementing clinical trainings and resources for the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services. His work is focused on training therapists and child welfare professionals to do their work with families better.
In 1999 Domenico graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Masters in Counseling. He is licensed in Illinois as a Clinical Professional Counselor. Domenico is married and has three children, enjoys bicycling, reading, the outdoors and nourishes his spirit with both Buddhist and Catholic values and practices.
