About Allison
Focus: Individual and family therapy for adolescents and young adults related to eating disorders, body image and embodiment, mood and anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and identity development.
Biography: Allison is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, particularly in adolescents and young adults. She aligns with the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES) and has earned certification as an Eating Disorder Specialist from the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp™). With extensive experience in higher levels of care—including residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs—she is deeply committed to supporting clients in their recovery journey.
Allison’s treatment philosophy emphasizes the importance of self-reflection to deepen vulnerability, challenge perspective, and foster genuine connections. She creates a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel truly seen and heard.
Allison is certified in Level 1 and 2 of Radically Open Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT), which she integrates into her treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, and perfectionism. She also utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and works with families using Family-Based Therapy (FBT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Wheaton College and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University.
