Emy dedicates her practice to everyday humans who do extraordinary things – from caregivers in high need roles, to professionals looking to improve their edge, recover from personal and professional trauma, and gain resilience. She strives to help those who repeatedly “pour from an empty cup” and still come back for more.

A lawyer by trade, Emy spent her career understanding the unique wellness challenges faced by those who work in intense environments, and particularly in the health care and other human services industries. Emy is also the founder of The Mother Ship, a non-profit with a mission of assisting parents of children with special needs in maintaining their own caregiver wellness.

Emy earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University School of Law. She has a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. Emy was attracted to Bradley’s emphasis on neurotherapy and neurofeedback, and strives to integrate a brain-based approach with each of her clients. She believes firmly that every person should receive a basic education in why their brain reacts the way it does, and how they can work with it to achieve an ideal state of wellness and performance.

In her spare time, Emy enjoys family time, reading, writing, cooking, crafting, and traveling to quirky, off-road destinations.
