Cleidy Ortiz, LCSW, CADC
She has extensive experience working with adults in multiple treatment settings and levels of care including partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, structured sober living, and state social services. Cleidy has over nine years of experience providing support to multicultural clients and their families in their journey towards healing from mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
Cleidy believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to promote effective change, and because of this, is committed to providing a supportive, compassionate, and judgment-free therapeutic space for her clients. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process with a client-centered and a strength-based focus. Cleidy utilizes a trauma-informed and integrative therapeutic approach to best suit her clients’ needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Narrative Therapy, Art Therapy, and Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT).
Cleidy earned her Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in mental health and substance use disorder treatment from Loyola University Chicago and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She provides psychotherapy services in English and Spanish.
