Lauren Klancic, LCPC, ATR
Biography: I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist with a dual Master’s degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University in Chicago.
I believe in the importance of the connection we have with ourselves, our bodies, minds, and loved ones. When this connection is interrupted, it prevents us from living our most meaningful and genuine lives. I have found success in exploring the internal narratives we create through our own lived experiences by providing a safe, non-judgmental space through compassion, empathy, curiosity, humor, and genuine human connection. I encourage clients to harness their strengths to navigate challenges, empowering clients to reclaim their narratives and agency.
I am passionate about helping individuals explore their relationship with their bodies while utilizing a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach. This includes supporting individuals in recovery from disordered eating and eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder.
As a staunch advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, I feel strongly providing gender affirming care is imperative in helping folx feel seen and heard. This includes working with clients around identity exploration and development, in addition to working with individuals around body image, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I believe nothing in life is one-size-fits-all, including therapy.
