Concentration: Individual, group, couples, and family therapy. Specialized in full spectrum of eating disorders including those struggling with loss of control eating pathology (Binge Eating Disorder, emotional eating, compulsive overeating, and/or Night Eating Syndrome), mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, body image, addiction, health psychology, relationship concerns, wellness, and mindfulness-based stress management.

Dr. Kat Karasina is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has treated individuals at Residential, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient levels of care. She has trained in a variety of settings including community mental health, medical hospital, and treatment centers for eating and mood disorders. She has held various positions, including leadership roles. Dr. Karasina uses a variety of psychotherapy approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and motivational interviewing. Dr. Karasina believes in taking a supportive yet direct, authentic, collaborative, and non- judgmental approach. Her goal is to work with you to create a therapeutic relationship which engenders discovery, empowerment, and allows for change to occur. She will help you identify your goals and values, learn strategies and skills to meet those goals, and provide encouragement and support along your journey to be your most effective self while creating a value driven life that you want to be present for.
