As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I believe that growth and transformation are possible when one is willing to dig through the tough stuff and surrender to the idea of change. I believe that therapy begins with creating a safe and accepting space for people to feel comfortable being vulnerable and sharing their raw selves. My approach to building a healthy therapeutic relationship is centered around honesty and authenticity and I am dedicated to being a sounding board for my clients while remaining a stable and safe presence. I am passionate about equipping my clients with new skills, strategies to cope, an increased self-awareness and the ability to effectively manage emotions for when life inevitably gets messy.
My experience at multiple levels of care has guided me to use a variety of therapeutic approaches (ACT, DBT, ERP and Mindfulness) but I honor that each journey is different and strive to join alongside you in that journey while often integrating spirituality and humor in our work. In addition, as a former division I gymnast I have developed skills that can be applied to performance enhancement, wellness and stress management on and off the field.
I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oklahoma where I was a graduate assistant for the office of Psychological Resources for Student-Athletes and I have also received my Type 73 school certification from DePaul University and interned at Glenbrook North High School as a School Counselor.
