Biography: As a clinician at Midwest, and practicing professional counselor Dr. Kristina Hill treats individuals, couples, and families presenting with issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, bipolar, multicultural concerns, LGBTQ+ identity development and concerns, relationship and family concerns. Dr. Hill has practiced in the mental health field for over 10 years both in urban and rural Illinois as well as Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Hill approaches counseling from a collaborative model, which allows her to work with her clients to define concerns and goals for their lives. She uses holistic wellness techniques and trauma informed interventions to assist clients in identifying challenges and learning new methods of life management and healing. Dr. Hill shares this about the experience of counseling: “Counseling allows opportunity for advocacy and prevention, instead of viewing individuals with a deficit or with a prognosis that requires 'fixing'. Healing is about more than just a quick fix; it is a process and counseling embraces the process from the start and beyond!”

Dr. Hill received her doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Northern Illinois University, her master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Adler University in Chicago, and her bachelor’s in psychology from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
